Fun fact: a similar topic was featured around the same time last year – and Umami started both lists! Of the ten books listed in that post I finished six over the year: Into the Drowning Deep (Mira Grant), Umami (Laia Jufresa), To Kill a Kingdom (Alexandra Christo), Circe (Madeline Miller), Authority and Acceptance (Jeff Vandermeer). Perhaps I’ll get around to the others in 2020.
