Last time I participated in a Top Ten Tuesday book cover freebie, I focused on favourite cover illustrations/artists, primarily of english-language editions. This time I’d like to share a few of my favourite illustrated covers from translated editions!
Jeff Vandermeer’s Southern Reach trilogy: Italian translations published by Einaudi with cover artwork by Lorenzo Ceccotti. The artist has making-of blog posts for the trilogy as well as the stunning omnibus cover illustration featured in today’s header.
Charlie Jane Anders, All the Birds in the Sky: French translation published by J’ai Lu with artwork by Tithi Luadthong.
Jeff Zentner, The Serpent King: Spanish translation published by Del Nuevo Extremo with artwork by Leo Perrotta.
Nnedi Okorafor, Binti: Russian translation by Карьера Пресс, artwork by Aleksey Litvishkov.
Gail Carriger’s Parasol Protectorate series: Japanese translations published by Hayakawa Publishing, though I can’t for the life of me find the illustration credit… I’ll edit it in when I find it.
