bookish top ten tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday: February 4th 2020

It’s difficult to predict which books will hit all the right notes to merit a 5-star rating. For this week’s Top Ten Tuesday I picked my ten best guesses – specifically books I plan to read this year – from my TBR pile. Should be fun to compare this list to the actual results!

Featured in the header: The Shadow of the Wind, Carlos Ruiz Zafón.

Hyped Continuations: Call Down the Hawk, Maggie Stiefvater; Deathless Divide, Justina Ireland; Unravel the Dusk, Elizabeth Lim.

Award-Winning Nonfiction: Five Days at Memorial: Life and Death in a Storm-Ravaged Hospital, Sheri Fink; Educated, Tara Westover; Voices from Chernobyl: The Oral History of a Nuclear Disaster, Svetlana Alexievich.

In my Wheelhouse: The Fifth Season, N. K. Jemisin; In the Shadow of Revolution: Life Stories of Russian Women from 1917 to the Second World War, eds. Sheila Fitzpatrick and Yuri Slezkine; Battle Royale, Koushun Takami.
